- Thank you for your patience and understanding as WCPSS Transportation Department implemented bus routes and schedules for the new school year.
- Refer to the Wake County Public School System website for updated route information.
- If your route is NOT listed on updated route and schedule information, your bus stop and stop times remain the same.
- Even if your route or schedule is NOT on the list of those that are changing, we anticipate that all riders will see an improvement in timeliness as a result of these adjustments.
Although many riders saw only minor issues associated with starting a new school year, we know that many families also experienced major delays, buses that missed their scheduled stops, and inadequate customer service. We apologize to you for these issues.
Our transportation staff has been meeting day and night to review each bus route and create solutions for students whose buses have been late to and from school.
During the first week of school, our transportation staff added 11 buses back to the roads. On Tuesday, September 4, the district added up to 16 more buses to help improve service to the approximately 75,000 bus riders in our district.
An updated list of affected routes has been posted on the WCPSS website with information on routes, stops and estimated pick-up times.
